The Social media marketing module in Odoo helps us to manage different social media platforms in a single application where we can post, manage multiple social media accounts, run campaigns, view visitors, and so on.
Features of the Social Marketing Module
=> Feed: The Feed menu gives the overview of all your posts on different social media platforms at a glance. Here, we can add posts, edit them, and manage all posts. The page enables us to view the posts, the number of likes, shares, comments, the date of posting, and so on. If we want to add a new social media, select the ‘Add a Stream’ button. To create a new post in your social media account, click on the ‘New Post’ option. We can use the ‘Synchronize’ button to adjust the posts.

In the ‘New Post’ option, we can enter the company, the platform to post, Message, Images When to post, Notification title, Target URL, and Icon Image. After entering the details, click on the ‘Post’ button.
=> Posts: We can also directly go to the Posts menu to create a post and publish it. These posts can also be filtered out according to their status and social accounts. In the ‘Push Notification Options’ section, we can push customized notifications to websites and add images for the same.
=> Campaigns: The company can promote its products and brands through various campaigns which can be scheduled in the ‘Campaigns menu’ of the Social Media Marketing module. It also shows the different stages of the marketing campaigns created. The campaigns show the number of posts, notifications, clicks, opportunities, revenues, and quotations associated with that campaign. Click on the ‘New’ button to create a new campaign.
=> Visitors: The Visitors menu track and record the visitors on the website along with the details such as the time of last action, number of visits, the last page visited, number of pages visited, number of leads or opportunities, and the number of chats.
We can also enter additional details about visitors by selecting the visitor from the Visitors page. Here, we could specify the Name of the contact, email ID, Mobile, Language, To enable push notifications or not, and other details regarding the visit such as Website, First connection, Last connection, Pages, and Products which are automatically recorded in the Visitor’s form.
=> Configuration: We can add and manage different social media platforms, social media accounts, and social streams in the configuration menu. Note that to add a social media stream, you must first link it with a social media account.
Thus, Odoo enables monitoring and analysis of leads to enhance customer engagement and nurture the leads into opportunities by targeting the specific leads who show interest in the products through their behavior on different social media platforms.
